AI Summary
BPOP has shifted from a rate-repricer story to a cash-generating bank where dividend/buyback upside is real but now hinges on management proving localized credit stabilization and deposit funding resilience. Actionable triggers: watch NPL trajectory/ACL cadence and Puerto Rico public-deposit flows (and a technical reclaim above ~$148) as the clearest signals that buybacks/dividends are sustainable or at risk.
