Valuation Metrics
Fundamental Analysis
Key Financial Insights: ⢠Strong profitability ⢠Covered dividend ⢠High leverage FHN appears financially solid, with strong profitability, covered dividends, and a reasonable valuation, though its highly leveraged bank balance sheet and only moderate efficiency warrant caution.
Price Behavior
Key Price Behavior Insights: ⢠Higher-low trend ⢠Resistance stall ⢠Support holding Support Level: $24.00, then $23.20 Resistance Level: $24.67 to $24.79 FHN has maintained a constructive recovery over the last month with higher highs and higher lows, but momentum has cooled near $24.67â$24.79 resistance and buyers must defend $24.00 and $23.20 to keep the uptrend intact.
Sentiment & News
Key News Insights: ⢠Earnings beat ⢠Expense pressure ⢠Louisiana expansion First Horizon beat Q1 earnings estimates with stronger net interest and fee income, but rising expenses and weaker capital ratios partly offset the positive results as it continued expanding in Louisiana and managing capital.
AI Summary
FHN is now better viewed as a steadily executing regional bank with improving earnings, deposits, and credit quality, but the stock's upside likely depends on proving it can keep compounding without deposit-cost pressure, capital erosion, or rising expensesâmaking this more of a quality-stability story than a deep-value turnaround.
