AI Summary
NBN has shifted from a steady smallâbank profile to a balanceâsheetâdriven loanâpurchase strategy that can materially lift NII and ROE but makes earnings lumpy and highly contingent on underwriting discipline and SBA fee policy. Investors should monitor successive quarters for sustained core NII growth, CRE portfolio delinquencies/coverage, and SBA gainâonâsale trends as clear triggers for reârating the stock.
