Fundamental Analysis
Key Financial Insights: ⢠Cash generation ⢠Margin compression ⢠Tight liquidity PWR remains profitable and cash-generative with strong deferred-revenue support, but leverage, tight liquidity, margin compression, and a rich valuation make the stock hard to justify at current levels.
Price Behavior
Key Price Behavior Insights: ⢠Lower highs ⢠$710 support ⢠$742 resistance Support Level: $710 Resistance Level: $730-$742, then $780-$785 Over the last month, PWR has weakened into a range-bound downtrend, with $710 as near-term support, $730-$742 turning into resistance, and $780-$785 the key upside hurdle for trend repair.
Sentiment & News
Key News Insights: ⢠Record backlog ⢠Demand momentum ⢠Valuation debate Quanta Services' news flow was strongly positive on booming infrastructure, grid, telecom, and AI data center demand, supported by an earnings beat and record backlog, though valuation and cost pressures remain a key watchpoint.
AI Summary
PWR should be viewed less as a cheap cyclical contractor and more as a high-visibility infrastructure platform with exceptional backlog and guidance support, but the rich valuation leaves little margin for error as recent margin compression and weakening price momentum mean the stock is best treated as a hold until profitability re-accelerates.
