Valuation Metrics
Fundamental Analysis
Key Financial Insights: ⢠Strong margins ⢠High leverage ⢠Low liquidity Waste Management delivers strong, durable cash generation and margins (EBITDA ~29â30%, FCF ~$2.8B) but carries high leverage, low nearâterm liquidity and negative working capital that increase shortâterm risk.
Price Behavior
Key Price Behavior Insights: ⢠Fresh intraperiod high ⢠Clustered higher lows ⢠Compressed upside/pullback risk Support Level: $233â$235 (primary), $226.79 (secondary) Resistance Level: $246.51 WM has a clear short-term uptrend over the last month, making a fresh intraperiod high at $246.51 with clustered higher lows that support the move but compressed upside raises pullback risk to $233â$235 or the $226.79 February low.
Sentiment & News
Key News Insights: ⢠Strong cash generation ⢠Stretched valuation ⢠Portfolio rebalancing Waste Management shows durable cash generation and margin expansion with strong 2026 guidance and portfolio diversification gains, but a stretched ~32x P/E and active investor rebalancing temper upside.
AI Summary
WM has shifted from a defensive cash-generator to an execution-dependent growth storyâM&A (Stericycle), RNG scaling, and recycling automation are the primary upside drivers, but elevated leverage, ERP/Healthcare integration risk, and recycling commodity volatility make near-term FCF and synergy delivery the decisive catalysts to validate the premium valuation.
